Our Mission
The mission of the Nairobi Chapel is to Growing DEEP...to Reach WIDE. The intention is for us to be a community deeply rooted in scripture, practicising biblical values in all of life, and thereby reaching far and wide with the gospel.
Our vision is laid out in four main areas:
Global Church Planting - We are trusting God to help us plant 300 churches around the world by the year 2020.
Aggressive Evangelism - 1 million to Jesus
Personal Transformation - grow F.A.I.T.H.ful disciples
Missions Impact - to be a missions catalyst church by training and raising up leaders for international ministries; and being a model to other churches in the work of missions and church planting.

300 first generation churches planted
By 2020, we are trusting God to plant 300 churches in Nairobi, Kenya, Africa, and around the world, and start a church planting movement. Our prayer is that each of these will also be vigorously planting churches so that in the final outcome a church planting movement will be established. The character of these churches is to be . . .
- Multicultural & integrated - reaching multiple ethnic or language groups
- Focused in cities & towns - Paul's own strategy
- Socially engaged - concerned about the poor and involved in social justice
- Multiplying - passionate about evangelism
- Small group based
- Passion for partnership
Strategy: In order to accomplish this goal,
- Church planting school(s) & research facilities.
- Business enterprise institute
- Trust Fund
It has been observed that some of the most successful church planting groups are not waiting to get their leaders in Bible schools and seminaries, but that their churches are headed by regular believers from their congregations: business people, doctors, teachers - believers who are going out in teams with a passion for God's kingdom and for His people. And this is our prayer... "Why not here Lord? Who are the people you are going to raise who will say 'here I am, send me, I want to be involved in starting new churches'? The harvest is plentiful, the laborers are few... Lord of the harvest, raise up an army here that will transform this city for you"
1,000,000 people to Christ
We want to be passionate about evangelism, and to be an advocate for evangelism so that by 2020 we have been instrumental in leading 1,000,000 people to Christ through our various ministries, contacts and networks. Jesus came to "seek and save the lost" and we want to take His mission seriously, both here in Kenya and around the world.
Strategy: In order to do this, we will use all means necessary
Training
- Congregation one-on-one evangelism
- Lay equipping strategies
Events
- Crusades evangelism (effective: how many came for XP3 concert @ splash?)
- Estate outreaches.
- Institutions (KTTC, KCCT, etc) target
Others
- Media outreach
- Serious children's outreach ministry
- Youth outreach and universities
- Migrant evangelism
100,000 F. A. I. T. H ful Disciples
We would want believers in our churches to be trained and discipled to have and display a mature faith. As mature disciples, they will allow the Bible to penetrate every arena of their lives: social, relational, emotional, psychological, financial, political, and spiritual: believers who "walk in the light" and exhibit the fruit of the Spirit. These 5 characteristics of spiritual maturity will mark our expectations
F - Firm foundation in the Word both in the way they handle scriptural truths, and in their familiarity with the bible.
A - Active devotional Life - Worship, Bible study, prayer, tithing, fasting, small group fellowship, evangelism, service, etc
I - Involved in the church, or in a kingdom ministry
T - Transformed character - evidenced by their character, values and lifestyle.
H - Heart for outreach in both personal evangelism and their support of and involvement in missions.
Strategy: Growth Pathways
1. Small group home ministries (Ekklesia Ministries)
2. Tyrannus Hall - Begin a lay Bible institute that will provide classes in Biblical studies and ministry leadership and practical issues facing Christians today. Through Tyrannus, we intend to provide leadership for the African church through writing books and curriculum, and developing models of ministry.
3. 500 Statesmen Train up 500 high-impact, kingdom driven leaders who are, or will rise up to positions of national leadership, and whose goal will be to honor Christ in their placement, and who abide by kingdom values (Esther/Daniel)
4. Professional associations e.g. journalists, educators, lawyers,
5. Internship program - sensing a lot of interest about it even in other countries, and want to grow it so it becomes a world class program producing next-generation leadership for the church
A missions catalyst church on the African continent

We believe that God is calling the church in Africa to take its place in global missions. To this end, we intend to become a missions' catalyst for the church in Africa, working together with other churches across Africa to define African Christianity and propel the African church to an impact in world missions. Globally, we would like to see churches engaged in a new mission paradigm of global church partnerships. Through these partnerships, we will learn from churches from around the world and engage in missions together.
Strategy:
- In partnership hold local and global conferences for churches and mission organizations.
- Build up partnerships with other churches on 3 fronts; locally, continentally and globally.
- Write in journals and periodicals, author commentaries and popular books about new & contextual paradigms of missions practice.
- Raise up key leaders for major mission organizations.
- Plant international churches in key cities around the world
"Ask of me" the Lord says "and I will
make the nations your inheritance, the end of the earth your possession." Psalms 2:8
