Visitor’s Luncheon : Have you just recently joined the Nairobi Chapel (say over the last 3 months?) If so, we have a special lunch for you on Nov 20 th hosted by Pastor Oscar and the pastoral team. The purpose of this lunch is to give you an opportunity to meet the pastors, ask your questions about Nairobi Chapel, and inform us on how we can serve you and your family. It gives you a chance to connect right at the core. Lunch will begin at 1:30 pm, after the service concludes.

Worship Choir : Do you like to sing? Would you like to be part of the Sunday Worship Team Choir? Please list up at the book table. We are looking for 10 choir voices. 3 hr Saturday practice.

Specials : How about singing special once in a while? If you have a good solo voice and love to bless people with solo’s – let us know.

Prayer Service: begins next week, from 9:30 – 10:30 am, 1 hr before the main service. An extended, unrushed time of worship, prayer, anointing with oil, laying on of hands and praying for healing. You don’t wana miss this. Note – if you have children, feel free to come with them, we will have a play program for them, and some refreshments at 10:15 am.

Benevolence : From time to time we have people who visit our services soliciting for financial assistance (especially from our overseas members). If someone approaches you, please forward them to Pastor Vincent or Pastor Irene, who will be at the Info Desk or Karibu Tent each Sunday after the service. Sometimes such requests are genuine, in which case we want to help; but sometimes they are not. We try and filter the one from the other by interviewing the person extensively, and then giving them a day job in exchange for support. We also issue out food and grocery stamps for those in need of the same.

Register Your 3 – 5 yr olds : Parents you can now register your 3 – 5 yr old for their Sunday School class before the main service begins. This will allow you to attend the service fully without needing to leave half-way thru the service to register them.

We have began visiting the schools in the area to see how we can minister to them. Several have responded very enthusiastically, asking us to hold a Bible Club for the children, or Pastoral Class for the teens. Please pray for favor as we go round to all the other primary and high schools in the Lavington, Kawangware, Adams, Karen and Ngong area. Praise the Lord for Pastor Irene who served as a teacher at Hospital Hill School for many years, and is very well received by the schools. Our target is to lead 1,000 children and 1,000 teens to Christ in 2006.

As you pray for this school ministry – we need help. Pray that God would raise Alumni from our members to go back to their old schools and minister. Pray too that many here would be willing to ‘adopt’ a school near them and minister there. If you are an answer to this prayer – please let us know.

The teens have began a band! And will be leading worship on one Sunday of Dec. Please pray for them as they meet and practice on Sunday afternoons. They are also looking for teens to be in the Drama and Dance ministry. Pray too for the target of the youth ministry to grow to 1,000 teens. Currently they are about 100.

The ROPES (Rite of Passage Experience) ministry for the 13 year olds who will transition from childhood to adulthood is preparing for their big Dec event. This year they are going camping in the bundu on Mt Kenya. Pray for the counselors, the planning and the kids as they all prepare for this exciting event. We have about 25 kids who will be transitioning.

Pastors Kyama & Vincent and Mark Mumo will be traveling to Congo (Bukavu) for a week on 8 th Nov in the company of a friend who is helping us strategize to church plant in Beni 2007. Pray for safety on the roads ( Eastern Congo still has mai-mai rebels), and effectiveness as they meet with many pastors. Pray too for solid contacts who can help in the church planting.

Pastor Julius son was admitted into hospital this week for a hernia operation. Please pray for a quick recovery.

There are many young adults at the KSTC. We want to be a blessing to the institution and to the Christian Union. Please pray for God’s favor as we approach them on ways we can serve and strengthen the ministries already working there. Pray that as a result of partnering, we would be able to lead many students to Christ together.

In Dec we are planning a big musical bash for teens here at this tent. Pray for Alvan as he links up with other musicians and churches, and begins the preliminary planning. Start praying that at least 100 young people will receive Christ through that event.
