Mark, that fake guy who teaches us in church on Sunday made us do some quiz on Spiritual gifts. Well, apparently I have a gift in missions. And faith. Me, faith? Is he serious? Is God serious? What can I do with this? I'm just a teenie…

I haven't finished Mrs Kamau's homework. She is crazy. She gives us loads of homework, like maths is the only thing we do in school. I'm in trouble!....

Mum and Dad had an argument jana. They don't think I know, but I'm sharper than that. I wonder if other kids have such drama at home...

These are some of the many stories that are what makes up the lives of our teens. Fitting in the crowd, appearances, relationships, school, friends, money, parents…
And they have questions about these issues.So what has this got to do with you?
Simple.
We need you. Yes. You. Sitting right there in the tent.
We need you to come in and listen and talk to us young guys. You have passed the same road. You probably wondered about how you looked too. And wondered how popular you were in school. And maybe flunked a few exams…
We need adult volunteers and mentors
Adult volunteers are the ones we need to jump in right into our Sunday classes. We have many youth, and volunteers would help in teaching on Sunday, but more importantly, getting to know us guys on a smaller group basis.
And mentors, people we can look up to (…and not because they are tall!) You don't have to be a rocket scientist, or a pastor to be a mentor. Cause most of us aren't either.

Benevolence: From time to time we have people who visit our services soliciting for financial assistance (especially from our overseas members). If someone approaches you, please forward them to Pastor Vincent or Pastor Irene, who will often be at the Info desk each Sunday after the service. Sometimes such requests are genuine, in which case we want to help; but sometimes they are not. We try and filter the one from the other by interviewing the person extensively, and then giving them a day job in exchange for support. We also issue out food stamps, and grocery stamps for those in need of the same.

Watch your belongings: Please watch your belongings carefully during the service. Unfortunately while many of us have come here to connect with God, some attend the service looking for opportunity to rob others of their handbags, bibles and any other valuables, therefore watch your belongings. Ladies - if you can, leave your handbags in your car-boot. Note - we have enough security detail to watch the cars and the premises while we are in service. We also have some plainclothes security detail with us in the service.

Mission mission: In keeping with the church vision to reach the lost, the Lord has begun to stir up several people to reach out to the lost... Some time back we had a mission to Bisil, Kajiado where over seventy people gave their lives to Christ. We are having another mission to Kibera slums in May. Car Gift? We are looking for a car for one of our pastors to help in getting around for hospital visitation and to the Ekklesia small group ministry that meet in different homes in the evenings. If you have a car you would like to give to the church for ministry, or to sell at a favorable cost, please consider doing so - we would truly appreciate it as we are not yet at a place where we can afford to purchase a ministry car.

Pastor Oscar will be away for the month of may so as to visit our other churches. In his absence Pastor Bob Kikuyu, Dr Paul Wangai, Pastor Ngari Kariithi and Pastor John Wesley (NPC West) will share the Sunday messages with us.
