Staff Transitions
Several of our staff members are in transition as follows:
Tony Mungai : Tony had been “loaned” to us for six months from Mavuno, to help us start off our “PLUG-IN”. He’s now been with us for seven, and the time has come for him to go back. We’ll miss Tony. He goes back to launch a marriage ministry at Mavuno.
Maggie Gitau : Maggie has been with us since University, and has served in various capacities at Chapel. Her dream is to work in missions at an international level. God willing she will be moving to Canada as a missionary of Nairobi Chapel, to work with one of our partner churches as an Assistant to the Mission’s Pastor. The transition will probably happen at the end of this year. Pray that all the visa/migration matters go smoothly.
BG : BG has been a pastoral Trainee with us for the last year, and is now joining NEGST for her Theological Studies to prepare her for pastoral ministry on completion. Study well BG, and do us proud at NEGST.
Pastor Mark : Joined us in January, but with a dream of one day planting a church. That day has come sooner than planned. He, 2 other pastor from his old church, and a small group of 40 friends, are teaming up to start a new church. He has been asked to give leadership to the church. They hope to begin services this month. Though the transition is sudden, we wish him all the best in this kingdom move.
Njeri Ndiho : Just graduated from NEGST as one of their top students. Njeri is joining our staff as the Teen’s Pastor, and will direct our Expressions Youth Ministry (she’s already been involved). Expressions caters for the 13 – 20 year olds. Welcome Njeri.
Pastor Albo : Has been our youth pastor and in charge of Expressions, but will now transition to serve as the Young Adults Pastor, responsible for our ministry to the 20 – 35 age group. Starting January, he will also be responsible for our Sunday Worship Services, with the challenge to engage a lot more young adults in Sunday ministry and service leading.
May God bless each of these men and women as they transition. For those who will be leaving us, thank you for being a blessing for the time God had you dwell with us, go with our heartfelt blessings. For those transitioning to new responsibilities, we wish you grace and wisdom as you do so. |
