FAQs
Why do I need to be in an e-group?
The term that best describes why one needs to be in an e-group is that term ‘connections’. Simply, being part of an e-group is all about connection in the following areas:
Connected to God:
Our studying God’s word as a group, there is definitely a sense of understanding God better, Hearing other share about their interaction with God’s word and the outcome of that interaction, helps clarify and enhance our own understanding of who He is. We too, as we discover ‘new’ truths from His word and as we share how that truth has impacted our lives become a conduit of blessing for others.
Another way that we groups in our understanding of who God is arises as we share and pray over different needs that the group members may have. The Bible has many promises about the power of united prayer. Seeing God answer prayer empowers our belief in the faithfulness of God, the reality of prayer, and His presence in our lives.
Connected to Others:
Life is such that we go through different seasons, some uplifting and some discouraging. In whatever season of life that one may be in, e-groups provide an excellent support system. There is a sense of security in knowing that there are people who really do care for you and are committed to standing by you. Many in this church can testify of how the support of their e-group provided such strength in a difficult and trying moment;
What is the essence of life if we don’t have people to celebrate with and share in the milestones of our lives? An e-group allows us this. Be it weddings, baby dedications, house warming, baby shower’s, you name it, E-groups are also places of fun and laughter.
Connected to our purpose and Destiny:
One of the questions that most of us ask is this. What’s God’s will and purpose for my life? Discovering God’s will for our lives does not take place in a vacuum. At the small group level as we get to discover, nurture and engage in our spiritual gifts and talents, for the benefit of all, the purpose an destiny of God for our lives becomes clearer.
