Moving to Our Promised Land

Our MISSION
The mission of the Nairobi Chapel is to “Help You grow so you can serve God Passionately”. We are passionate about Leadership Development, Vibrant Worship, Life-Transforming teaching of Scripture, working with effectively with our Youthful Congregation and growing a Fun Children’s Ministry..... all done with innovativeness.  

Vision 20-20
Our vision is laid out in four main areas:
Lead 1,000,000 People to Christ through various ministries, contacts and networks;
Plant 300 Churches; we desire to begin a church planting movement in Kenya, across Africa and around the world;
Raise 100,000 F.A.I.T.H-ful believers who have Foundation in God's Word, have an Active Devotional life, are Involved in the Church, have Transformed Character and have a Heart for the World;
Change the Face of African Missions; we will become a missions' catalyst in defining African Christianity.

Owning THE VISION
It has been observed that some of the most successful church planting groups are not waiting to get their leaders in Bible schools and seminaries. Those churches are given leadership by regular members of the congregation - you and I. We are passionate about each one experiencing spiritual transformation AND social transformation.
This is OUR prayer... "Why not here Lord?”

What if you made this YOUR prayer: “Here I am, send me. I want to be involved in transforming my generation for You!”

Our move to the land we help us realize many new ministries and opportunities around our community and beyond in ways we have not been able to.
This is our chance to possess the city, this land and beyond.

Our PROMISED LAND
Our Journey through Faith started in the year 2000. The membership voted to proceed with the relocation of the Chapel to a larger property. That period saw many amazing events that strengthened character, tested patience, grew faith and moved our hearts towards God.
To raise the funds needed to purchase the land, many scaled the great heights and conquered Mt. Kenya. Our children walked many kilometers to Thika, and lived to tell! It was a wonderful time to stretching our faith, our bodies and our spirits. And we saw God move.
Our prayer, in faith, “Not to Limit the Greatness of God by the Smallness of our Vision”.

Halleluiah Moments!
It is amazing to see how far the Lord has brought us. Not by our power but by His might we have these Hallelujah! moments:
- The growth of the church into 7 locations igniting our 20-20 vision!
- The many miracles we saw in our fund-raising efforts to purchase the land!
- The exciting growth of the congregation, now moving us to 2 services!
- The gracious acceptance by the community around us!           
- The resolve of the land issues!

It is TIME!!!
In different ways we have sensed God saying “it is time” to possess our Land:
- We are experiencing rapid growth as a congregation.
- 14 acres of land where our vision is our limit.
- The growth in missions and benevolence work. We are looking forward to developing a community center, a primary school that will reach out to the Kibera community and a clinic for the surrounding community.

Planting Treasures
We would like to see each of us be involved in getting to our Promised Land.
The Lord has multiplied our faith and resources MANY times over in the past.
The time has come again to trust Him with all that we have possessed our Land.
Come with us, take bold steps of faith and together lets us see the amazing things God has in store for us!

Big VISION, Bigger GOD
In order for us to successfully move and settle onto our14 acre Promised Land, we will need Kshs. 30 Million, over a period of 6 months.

Our VISION
Set up a Sanctuary that will hold up to
2,500 people 
Split current tent, for youth service and events
Put down cabro paving for tents
Put up a pre-fabricated Administration Block
Clear land and have parking for 500 cars
Set up 20 Sunday School Class rooms
Install amenities including electricity, sewer & water
Build 2 Caretakers family units
Landscape and fence the property

Trusting a BIG God
We will need to make BOLD steps see BIG things happen. Please consider doing the following BIG ways:
- Pledge: For a specific period of time to give a specific amount.
- Participate: Give of your time, ability and talent to see us successfully move.
- Purpose: Pick one of the above projects and with conviction dedicate yourself to it.
- Pray:  Prayer moves the hand that moves everything…the hand of God!
